Premed of Color is dedicated to providing premedical students of color with an online resource to better prepare them to apply to medical school and to be a foundation to help them excel as future physicians.

Let's not waste any time. Let's get you started. First of all, here are a few things you should know about medical schools and premeds of color.

Medical schools are looking for students that bring diversity to their institutions. They are looking for students like you! We live in a diverse nation that historically excluded persons of color from medicine. Things are changing. Schools are realizing that in order to train competent physicians they need to create an environment that is as diverse as our nation, as diverse as the communities we will work in.

So what keeps us out of medical school?

Ignorance! Applying to medical school is like playing Chess. You need to know the rules, what the players do, and their strategies. Then you can play the game. Then you will realize it is not impossible. The PreMedical Game is all a matter of preparation, hard work, and commitment.
